Kobo is all about helping you read freely. There are Kobo eReaders that you can use to read eBooks. There are Kobo mobile apps that you can use to read eBooks on your smartphone or tablet. There’s a Kobo website that you can use to purchase or get free books, download books, and add books to your library. And there’s also a Kobo Desktop application that you can use to discover, buy, and read books.
Kobo Desktop supports any Windows edition from Windows Vista onward (support for Windows XP ended). To get Kobo Desktop up and running on a Window PC you must go through a standard installation procedure: download an installer, run it, follow the instructions presented onscreen by a setup wizard.
Launch Kobo Desktop for the first time and you will see that three large buttons are presented on its interface:
Sign in or create an account – by signing in you can sync your data, purchase books, view the books in your library, and more.
Discover New eBooks – check out some recommended eBooks.
Set Up Your Reader – set up your eBook reader so that you can read books, buy and download books, keep track of your reading progress, and more.
At the top of Kobo Desktop’s interface there are three tabs. The following three tabs:
Bookstore – view eBook recommendations, check out featured and newly released books, access your whishlist, search for books.
Library – view all the books in your library.
eReader – interact with your eReader.
Kobo Desktop is a great tool for anyone who likes to read and wants to discover, buy, manage, read eBooks on their Windows desktop.

Installing Kobo Desktop is a simple matter. A wizard will help you set up your eReader. You can easily sign up for a Kobo account. Browse a huge collection of books, get book recommendations, purchase books, manage your library, read books, and more.
